… The Tweed Run - London 2014

The Tweed Run for 2014 took place in London with 500 riders dressed in various tweeds and old wartime uniforms journeyed from Somerset House around London. Along their route, they stopped at the Guildhall for a very civilized tea break with china cups and saucers.

Of course, their route had to pass along Saville Row as a tribute to the fine tweed outfits that many of the riders wore. There were a wide variety of bicycles from a 1872 Penny Farthing right through to the most modern custom nade cycles. After approximately 12 miles cycling, the 500 participants finished at St. James Church Gardens in Clerkenwell for "The End Party".

The Tweet Run supported the London Cycling Campaign which is dedicated to making cyclying the the capital safer for everyone.
