Clipper Round The World 2013-14

The Clipper Round The World 2013-14 yacht race started from London on Sunday 1st September with 12 70ft yachts embarking on the 40,000 mile journey. An armada of various boats accompanied the 12 yachts as they paraded before large crowds on the banks of the River Thames around Tower Bridge on their way to the official start line in Southend-on-Sea.

At 9:30am on Monday 2nd September, the first leg of the race starts from Southend-on-Sea to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil via Brest, France and is expected to take about 33 days. The race is expectly to conclude back at St. Catherines Dock in July 2014.
